It’s been a minute since I’ve posted—because, frankly, I’ve been neck-deep in the kind of chaos that only comes from trying to squeeze a four-bedroom life into a 16-foot trailer and an SUV. Downsizing isn’t just a logistical challenge; it’s a full-contact sport. Add job hunting, tour planning, and helping my daughter and grandson settle into their new place in Tustin, and you’ve got a recipe for total mental gridlock.
But here’s the good news: the purge is working. We’ve powered through multiple garage sales, giveaways, and Craigslist meetups. Now we’re down to just a few major furniture pieces and the personal essentials. No move is ever smooth—ours included. I’ve lost my phone at least ten times, juggling boxes and fielding calls from strangers about patio chairs and vintage lamps. And did I mention the heat? It’s been brutal.
Still, the essentials are in place. The trailer’s ready. The SUV’s prepped. Repairs to the condo are nearly scheduled. All that’s left is to pack, breathe, and hit the road.
🎉 My inaugural journey kicks off September 5–6 at Tehachapi Winery. It’s the first official stop of the tour—and the beginning of a new chapter.
Stay tuned. The Scamp is about to roll.
